Mike Loveall

Michael "Mike" John Loveall, age 68, of Albia, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at his home in Albia. Mike was born December 5, 1942 in Galva, IL to Mickey and Esther (McQuinn) Loveall. He grew up and attended grade school in Galva, prior to moving to Tampa, FL, where he graduated from high school. Mike joined the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served his country during three tours in Vietnam. Mike was a recipient of the Silver Star and four Oak leaf clusters. After his time in the Marines, Mike completed the Police Academy and worked as a policeman in Dallas, Tennessee, and the Quad Cities. He married Jody Keyes on July 30, 1977 in Hampton, IL. They later moved to Albia. A member of the American Legion, Mike was very active helping with military rites. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. Mike enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, cooking and grilling for him and others. He was a sociable person. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also was a boxing and NASCAR fan. Mike is survived by his wife, Jody; children, Rick, Tad, Shane, Michael, Shawn, Chad, Clint, and Nikki; a brother, Patrick. Mike is also survived by many grand children, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Tammy. Per MikeÂ?s request he has been cremated with burial and a Celebration of Life dinner at a later date.
