Ronald Lincoln Bachman

Ronald Lincoln Bachman, formerly of Knoxville, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in Greenville, Illinois. He was born on December 27, 1953, in De Ridder, Louisiana at Camp Polk. Ronald was the son of Dwight Bachman and Betty De Witt Bachman De Zwarte. Ronald was employed at Firestone in Des Moines for several years, was a painter, and for a while, owned his own mechanic shop in Des Moines. Later in life, he found a passion for oil painting, and was a wonderful artist. He was united in marriage to Kathy (Betts) Bachman. They were blessed with one son, Justin Lee Bachman. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepdad, Betty and Verlan De Zwarte of rural Chariton, two brothers: Ryal Bachman and Dwight (Amanda) Bachman of Chariton, nephews: Clayton and John Bachman, and niece, Bethany Bachman, aunt Pat Jessip, and cousins: John Emerson and Mike Emerson. Ronald is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Kathy (Betts) Bachman, son, Justin Lee Bachman, two brothers: Rance Bachman and Randall Bachman, in infancy, and cousin Steve Emerson. Visitation for Ronald will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Winfield Funeral Home in Knoxville, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M., with family present. A graveside service will follow visitation at Gosport Cemetery in rural Marion County. Following burial services, there will be a luncheon at Celebrate Community Church in Knoxville.
