Raymond Frederick Fisher, age 87, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at West Ridge Specialty Care in Knoxville. Funeral services for Raymond will begin at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville. Prior to services Raymond’s family will be greeting friends from 12:00 P.M. until service time. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Raymond was born on January 22, 1930 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. The son of Harlin Fisher and Josephine (Dingeman) Fisher. Raymond grew up in Oskaloosa and attended Oskaloosa Public Schools. In April 1948 Raymond went to work for Rolscreen where he met Wilma Davis. Wilma and Raymond were united in marriage on August 28, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nausha, Iowa. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Michael and Susan. In 1960, they moved to Knoxville to raise their family. Raymond retired from Rolscreen in 1987 with nearly 40 years of service. Raymond was an avid bowler. He bowled on several different bowling leagues for many years. He also enjoyed fishing, wood working and attending the Sprint car races in Knoxville. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family the most. Raymond was a member of the First United Methodist Church for over 50 years. Raymond is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Wilma; his son, Michael Fisher and his daughter Susan (Keith) Masa. Two Grandchildren, Ryan (Laura) Mackey and Amanda Mackey; four great grandchildren, Hailey, Raymond, Jacob Mackey and Madilynn Hartman. Along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parent, Harlin and Josephine Fisher of Oskaloosa. A memorial in Raymond’s memory has been established for HCI Hospice. The Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville is assisting Raymond’s family with services.
