Harold Dean Wolf Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Harold Dean Wolf, age 87, of Knoxville passed away at the Knoxville Rehab Center on Sunday, November 2, 2014. Visitation for Harold will begin at 4:00 P.M, Friday, November 7, 2014 at the Winfield Funeral Home of Knoxville. Harold’s family will be present Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 8th, also at the Winfield Funeral home of Knoxville. Burial with military honors will follow services at the Graceland Cemetery of Knoxville. Harold was born August 23, 1927, on the family farm near Bedford, Iowa, the son of Roy Eugene and Mabel Belle (Ridneour) Wolf. After school Harold served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Harold farmed most of his life in Marion County and he also worked at the VA Hospital as a dental technician. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, V.F.W. member and former commander. Harold also enjoyed country western music, traveling south during the winter and for many years, during his retirement, he owned and operated a small engine repair shop. Harold is survived by his step daughter, Kate (Conrad) Fulkerson of Timberlake, N.C.; “daughter”, Barbara (Jim) Bacon of Knoxville; 2 sons, Duane Wolf of Arizona and Garry Wolf of Colorado; and several grandchildren. Harold is also survived by his three sisters, Lois Rusk of Des Moines, Doris Garner of Osceola and Betty Kinne of Creston; a niece Cheryl Holbrook and a grand nephew, Ryan Riley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mabel; his wife, Bernice; one sister; and three brothers. A memorial has been established to the donor’s choice.
